Hi Nola fans!<\/p>\n

Was working on my itinerary and noticed that I don’t have a dinner reservation (or idea) for our last night in Nola – eeek!<\/p>\n

Staying at a B&B, so breakfast doesn’t enter into the equation.<\/p>\n

Looking for something not as expensive as Stella! but still special as it’s our last night in town. In the FQ preferably.<\/p>\n

Here is our food agenda so far — doing other activities, but this question is only about food, glorious food \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n

Saturday<\/p>\n

arrive at 3:30pm<\/p>\n

dinner reservation at NOLA Restaurant<\/a>, chef’s counter<\/p>\n

cafe du monde – late night snack<\/p>\n

Sunday<\/p>\n

Jazz brunch – Mr. B’s Bistro<\/p>\n

Mid-day break – El Gato Negro for margaritas<\/p>\n

Dinner – Yo Mamma for pb\/bacon burgers<\/p>\n

Monday<\/p>\n

Lunch at Oak Alley (touring swamp and plantations before), open for better ideas on this<\/p>\n

Cochon<\/a> or Cochon Butcher for dinner<\/p>\n

Camellia Grill<\/a> for dessert – pecan pie!<\/p>\n

Tuesday<\/p>\n

Early lunch – Commander’s Palace<\/a><\/p>\n

mid-day snack – chargrilled oysters<\/p>\n

Dinner???<\/p>\n

Wednesday<\/p>\n

lunch – Central Grocery Muffalettas<\/p>\n

+ cafe du monde beignets<\/p>\n

depart \ud83d\ude41<\/p>\n

yum…now I’m salivating! I definitely want to spend Sunday afternoon with you! \ud83d\ude42 Have you thought about Irene’s? Same block as Stella!, higher end, but affordable, amazing food, amazing service (also Brad and Angelina’s fave restaurant…altho I’m so lame, I wouldn’t know them if I sat next to them!) I’d skip lunch at Oak Alley. I haven’t tried it, but it seemed more “cafeteria” and I waited toget back to the Quarter to eat! Maybe have a nice breakfast at The Old Coffee Pot…they make incredible EVERYTHING!!!!<\/p>\n

Try Verti Marte for an “all that Jazz” with wow sauce!!! Incredible and inexpensive. They just re-opened after the fire and I can’t wait to get in there again! They even deliver!!!<\/p>\n

I would go to Galatoire’s Tuesday night. In fact I would not visit NOLA without dining at Galatoire’s. My next suggestion would be Bayona<\/a>. I would swap Emeril’s<\/a> for NOLA. They are both very nice but I prefer Emeril’s. Go early and have drinks at the bar. Or stop at Lucy’s Bar on Tchoupitoulas just before you get to Emeril’s for their 4\/7 PM happy hour.<\/p>\n

Galatoire’s is classic creole cuisine including a lot of seafood dishes like grilled fresh fish with crabmeat, several oyster dishes, shrimp, crab et al. It’s my favorite NOLA restaurants. Their lamb chops are outstanding also. NOLA and Emeril’s<\/a> will have high quality entrees that include NOLA seafood but a lot of lamb, veal, chicken and steaks also. You should go to Galatoire’s once in your life.<\/p>\n
