Our first destination was Antoine&#8217;s for the jazz brunch. <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/gentryville.net\/nola\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/03\/l_1600_1200_8BBD2F60-BED9-4733-A57C-B33B7ED5A3DA.jpeg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/gentryville.net\/nola\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/03\/l_1600_1200_8BBD2F60-BED9-4733-A57C-B33B7ED5A3DA.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" class=\"aligncenter\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Kelly had a pork chop with potatoes, all covered in an apple sauce, and I the eggs benedict (pictured-already in progress of being devoured). There was a trio (bass, guitar, vocal) playing jazz standards. Wonderful food-good entertainment.  <\/p>\n<p>Most of the rest of the day was spent either walking around or napping.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/dashdrum\/5566162323\/\" title=\"365 #17 - Hurricane by Dash Drum, on Flickr\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/farm6.static.flickr.com\/5226\/5566162323_9c07cbea66.jpg\" width=\"500\" height=\"299\" alt=\"365 #17 - Hurricane\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>At supper time we went out to cross a couple of our &#8220;must dos&#8221; off the list. First, a hurricane at Pat O&#8217;Brien&#8217;s. It is a good drink, and they certainly don&#8217;t skimp on the rum!<\/p>\n<p>What better way to work off the buzz, than to head over to the voodoo shop!  Lot&#8217;s of weird stuff, and I think the staff there take it a lot more seriously than most of their customers. <\/p>\n<p>We next caught a blues\/rock band at the Funky Pirate bar. Mark and the Pentones did a nice job. <\/p>\n<p>After a long walk back, we found a hole-in-the-wall gyro place hidden next to our hotel. Holy grease bomb, Batman!<\/p>\n<p>An early night tonight, but we have big plans for tomorrow.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>What a lazy day!
